Welcome to the “Life in the Swimlane” blog series. Here we will feature interviews with Swimlaners to learn more about their experience. This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going.
Hi, I’m Connor Mansfield and I’m a Sales Development Rep here at Swimlane. I’m originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. I went to college at Elon University where I also was a member of the soccer team for all 4 years. I moved out here to Denver back in January of 2020 and have been loving living out here ever since. I currently live in Arvada, CO with a couple other buddies/roommates who are also from the Greensboro area.
I have been with Swimlane for just about a month as I started back at the beginning of October. As a Sales Development Representative, I work to bring in opportunities for our sales directors to close. This consists of generating and qualifying leads by reaching out to potential customers through cold calls, emails, social media and assessing if these leads meet key criteria. Once qualified, I will schedule demos with these prospects and our different sales teams and ensure a smooth handoff with this process.
Since joining Swimlane, I’ve been impressed by the warm and welcoming culture here. Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly friendly and willing to help me get up to speed in my new role. Whether it’s through team events like happy hours at Number 38 or simply showing genuine care on a personal level, Swimlane truly goes out of its way to create a supportive and home-like environment for its employees. It’s clear that Swimlane fosters a strong sense of community, making it a great place to work.
I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to Swimlane’s growth and success. Being able to help take Swimlane to new heights is both inspiring and motivating, and I’m proud to be part of this journey
When I’m not working, I like to stay active. You can catch me out snowboarding, camping, hiking in the mountains, or being way too competitive in one of the Denver sports leagues.
Cooldown runclub, Volo, and really any sports league or pickup leagues out here in the Denver area.
That I’m a diehard University of North Carolina Football fan. Reason for this is because my Dad played and coached there back in the 70s. With Greensboro only being an hour away from the campus, we’d regularly attended games on Saturdays when there weren’t any conflicts with my soccer schedule
Never forget why you do what you do… People don’t burn out because of what they do, people burn out because life makes them forget why they do it.
Loyal, Competitive and Hardworking
“Always be leveling up” is the core value that resonates most with me. I’ve always been one to believe that if you’re not moving forward you’re moving backwards. For that reason, I’ve always tried to be ambitious and constantly push myself in all facets of my life.
I’m excited to contribute to Swimlane’s growth not only within the industry but also in the broader cybersecurity space. It’s inspiring to be part of a company that is shaping the future of security automation and making a real impact on the cybersecurity landscape
Swimlane is a rapidly growing, innovative startup in the Denver metro area with a passionate team focused on improving the lives of security practitioners through security automation and orchestration. We’re always looking for dedicated, ambitious problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced work environment to join our team.
