Hey everyone, I’m dealing with a pretty serious situation and could use some guidance from people who understand cybersecurity or have been through something similar.

My girlfriend often claims that she knows hacking. She brags about it sometimes, but she always gatekeeps — never shows me anything or explains how she knows it. A few of her friends have also told me that she knows how to hack phones and social media accounts.

Recently, here’s what happened:

My LinkedIn and Facebook got hacked on the same day.

A few days later, my Instagram was also compromised.

My LinkedIn profile name was changed to Chinese characters.

On Facebook, a foreign email ID was added, and I received a login alert from the USA (I don’t live in the US).

On Instagram, I found Bitcoin-related images randomly posted.

I was able to recover LinkedIn and Instagram, but my Facebook is still lost. It’s now tied to an email that isn’t mine, and I have no control over it anymore.

Given the timing, the pattern, and what I know about my girlfriend, I suspect her, but I can’t say it with 100% certainty. It could also be someone else entirely.

What I need help with:

1. How could someone hack all three accounts like this? Especially without having physical access to my phone?

2. Could my girlfriend have done it, based on the description? What would she need to pull this off?

3. How do I recover my Facebook, considering the recovery email is no longer mine?

4. How can I secure all my accounts better to prevent this in the future?

5. Lastly — and this really bothers me — unethical hacking is wrong, and yet people are somehow learning how to do it.

Where are people learning these skills?

Are there forums, websites, or communities that actually teach people how to hack others?

I just want to protect myself, understand how this happened, and make sure it never happens again. Any honest advice, tools, or resources to stay safe online would be really appreciated.
